After the Offer
Competition for the best candidates is intense. Departments should keep up contact after the offer. During these conversations, unit executive officer (or other department members) should present specific reasons, tailored to the candidate, why UIC is the best place for his or her career and indicate how his or her contributions will be valuable to students and colleagues. Unit executive officers should also be prepared to help the candidate with personal concerns.
PLEASE NOTE: Once a candidate has accepted the offer, the department must indicate his/her acceptance in Hire Touch.
