Four Year Model Plans by Major

Students are required to declare a major by the end of their sophomore year (59 semester hours).  In order to receive a degree, LAS students must have satisfactorily completed the coursework in the major field of study.

The four year plans of study, provided here, are intended to assist students in planning their schedule for the four years at UIC.  They are not intended to take the place of academic advising.  Students are encouraged to see both an LAS advisor and departmental advisor at least once each year to discuss specific course selections and progress toward the degree.

Students with transfer coursework need to consult an LAS advisor to determine how their transfer coursework will count toward degree requirements.
